Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we process it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
1. Who processes your data
The data controller is the Stara Zagora RETRO Car Club, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria — the organiser of the International Classic Car Meet.
For anything related to your personal data, contact us at sz_clubretro@abv.bg or on 0888 260220 / 0894 491840.
2. What we collect
Registration form data: your name, phone number, email address, town/country, and details of the vehicle — make, model, year and a short description.
Photos of the vehicle that you choose to upload with your entry.
Technical data needed to run the site, such as the IP address recorded in our hosting provider's logs.
We do not collect special categories of personal data, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
To handle your entry, compile the participant list and contact you about the meet — this is processing at your request before participation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To organise and safely run the event, including coordination with partners and authorities — on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To publish photos of your vehicle in our gallery and social channels — on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Who has access
Only members of the club's organising team can see your entry.
We use providers that process data on our behalf and on our instructions: website hosting and database, an email delivery service for notifications, and secure file storage for uploaded photos.
We never sell your data or pass it to third parties for marketing. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Entry data is kept until the relevant edition of the meet has finished and for up to 12 months afterwards — for our records and so we can invite you to the next edition.
Photos published in the gallery with consent stay online until you ask us to remove them.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at sz_clubretro@abv.bg. We reply within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection — 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd, Sofia 1592, kzld@cpdp.bg, www.cpdp.bg.
7. Photos and video at the meet
The meet is a public open-air event. Photos and video are taken during the day and may be used by the club and our partners for reporting, media coverage and promotion of future editions.
If you would rather not be identifiable in a published shot, contact us and we will remove or blur it.
8. Cookies
The site uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage — to remember your language choice and your answer to the cookie banner. They are not used for tracking and are not shared with third parties.
If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, they will load only after your explicit consent, which you can change at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our activities or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the latest revision.
